And while the semi-celibate star had promised herself that she’d end her drought in 2020, she’s now revealed that the coronavirus pandemic has put a stop to her plans.

In a column for The Latch, the 39-year-old wrote: ‘How do I meet and connect with someone while we are all in self-isolation?’

However, Melissa admitted that she’s already had trouble figuring out the online dating world and has been confused by all the apps on the market.

‘Bumble, Tinder, Her, Plenty of Fish, Happn, Zoosk, Ok Cupid, Badoo, Hingee… the list goes on and on, just like my man drought,’ he joked.

In a previous column for The Latch, Mel wrote that she and her husband Dino Hira were ‘totally mismatched’ by the show’s relationship experts.

‘Desperate times calls for desperate measures!’ Mel said that she’s now turned to online dating in a bid to meet somebody

‘Dino and I literally had nothing in common,’ she wrote, candidly.

‘Everything from our personalities to our belief systems; our values and our interests, and even the way we communicate,’ she continued.

‘While I had no idea what to expect of the experience, one thing I hadn’t counted on was being totally mismatched.’

Outspoken Mel has taken swipes at MAFS relationship experts before, after her disastrous marriage to Dino ended in tears.

Flashback: Melissa Luarelli was open about suffering from an almost decade-long sex drought when she starred on Married At First Sight last year

During an interview with The Daily Telegraph in March last year, Mel accused the experts of pairing her with Dino purely for ‘entertainment.’

‘I did think, ”we’ve been put in here as a joke, for entertainment”,’ she told the publication, referring to the experts matching her with the meditation coach.

‘They chose us to be the ones that were completely incompatible,’ she added.

Since her stint on MAFS last year, Mel has found success as a brand ambassador, influencer, and columnist.
