In episode 1 of “The Mandalorian” season 2, the eponymous Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) tries to fulfill his mission and to unite the child alias Baby Yoda with his own kind. This trip takes him back to Tatooine, because another Mando is said to be hiding in Mos Pelgo. He knows how or where to find the Jedi.

As in season 1 of the series, Din Djarin’s main task is interrupted by another adventure, because the bounty hunter has to free Mos Pelgo from a Krayt dragon. Only then does he receive the Mandalorian armor from Marshall Cobb Vanth (Timothy Olyphant). No sooner said than done and that’s how the first chapter of the new season ends. But just before the familiar melody runs over impressive concept art, another new character appears. Of course we will tell you who is hiding behind the mysterious figure.

Mysterious figure is a well-known “Star Wars” favorite
Many had already wondered who was behind the mysterious figure at the end of the first chapter of “The Mandalorian” Season 2. For so many other viewers there was only one answer: Boba Fett. Without any Mandalorian armor, you might not have recognized him directly, since actor Temuera Morrison portrays the unknown, but it must be the popular “Star Wars” figure.

Morrison was already seen in the second “Star Wars” trilogy as Jango Fett. Jango’s son – actually a clone – is Boba Fett and of course looks exactly like his original. There is a slim chance that another clone is hiding behind the mysterious figure. But Boba’s appearance seems more logical. Hopefully we’ll learn more in episode 2.

In exchange for his Mandalorian armor, Boba Fett may lead the travelers to the Jedi. It remains to be seen whether the protagonist of the series is ready. In fact, Mandalorians are never allowed to put their helmets on again after taking them off. Is Mando stuck to his creed, or is he ready to compromise? Hopefully we’ll find out more when Disney + uploads the latest episode on November 6th.

The fact that season 2 already introduces Boba Fett in the first episode came as a surprise. However, when you consider what else to expect in the new episodes, it makes sense. Finally, there are still a few characters to be introduced. A big highlight is definitely the arrival of Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson). It is not yet known when the popular “Star Wars” character will have her first live-action appearance and how she will encounter the heroes of the series. In any case, we are already excited.

Another puzzle evokes the stranger (Sasha Banks) from the first trailer. Judging by her clothes, she appears to be a member of the Jedi. So far, however, that’s just a guess. Disney + has also kept a low profile with her so far.

Star Wars has always been known for the fact that characters and figures believed to be dead do not always have to be dead. The latest example is the Emperor Palpatine, who suddenly reappears in the finale of the Skywalker saga.

How did Boba Fett survive his supposed death in the Sarlacc Pit? Boba Fett’s survival and his escape from the pit of the Sarlacc has already been dealt with in several subsequent novels such as the “Boba Fett” series by Terry Bisson or in the comics Dark Empire. However, the stories about the popular bounty hunter were not part of the official canon.

Nevertheless, his survival was described in it, how he killed the Sarlacc with the help of his jetpack and explosive devices and was able to free himself from inside the monster.

Eventually Boba Fett is found and rescued by the bounty hunter Dengar next to the pit in the desert. Boba Fett resumes his life as a bounty hunter and even starts a family of his own. He later fights alongside Han Solo and trains Han and Leia’s daughter Jaina. But as I said, the stories belong to the old Expanded Universe (which is now called Legends) – and not to the official canon.
